Mechanical engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer at CAPE Holland, you’ll be working daily on the technical translation of our Vibro Lifting Tool, associated equipment, and other foundation machines. It’s a highly interesting job! Our equipment is deployed offshore worldwide, and each project has its own critical factors: think weight, diameter and wall thickness of the pile, presence or application of flanges, or the layout, routing, shape, and size of the material.

Within your assigned engineering project, you ensure every component of the equipment is used optimally. You’ll work closely with fellow Mechanical Engineers, Lead Engineers, and the Engineering Manager. There’s also close contact with engineers from other technical disciplines such as Hydraulic, Structural, and Electrical.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating detailed designs and implementing changes based on reviews or structural calculations;
• Independently performing calculations to test design details for feasibility;
• Creating production drawings, parts lists and technical documentation;
• Processing feedback and changes in drawings and documentation that arise during construction and rental projects;
• Acting as a point of contact for colleagues to ensure projects are executed correctly and without delays;
• Responsible for timely, complete, and accurate maintenance of systems and project files, ensuring up-to-date data is always available.

WE ASK

You can work across disciplines, stay focused on your tasks, and don’t mind going beyond the standard 9-to-5. You’re proactive and your hands-on mentality ensures things get done. You also have:

• A Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering or similar, specialized in heavy machinery and/or offshore;

• An analytical approach to solving problems and structured working methods;

• Knowledge and experience in design, construction, reading schematics, and manufacturing techniques;

• Proficiency with Solid Edge or similar 3D design software, as well as relevant technical software;

• Familiarity with Teamcenter or comparable PDM software.
